AA catless exhaust - Write-up, photos, video
There are many threads dedicated to the Active Autowerke signature exhaust, and for good reason. I'm usually not one for long write-ups or anything, and I know a routine exhaust install is really nothing too special, but I felt the urge to share my experience with others. I opted for the full catless system, with the help of Omar@Active. Working with him was very easy, and the transaction was ridiculously smooth. I had my exhaust in four short days.
Active Autowerke boxes! Closeup of tip Branded The install was handled Monday morning by the guys at Rennspec. Matt did most of the work and did a fantastic, efficient job. The attention to detail these guys give to the entire process is unbelievable. Shooting the shit with Jason made time fly, and before I knew it, I was headed home with a seriously insane sounding car . Car lifted and ready for surgery Pretty Taking the OEM exhaust out Fitting the new system Finishing touches Here is a short clip. The car was warmed up, this wasn't a cold start. I plan on shooting some more vids soon. I am in love with the sound! The car drones a little while cruising on local roads, but is barely noticable when riding on freeways. I love the tone of this system compared to the others and have no regrets. The tips were installed staggered, and don't stick out obnoxiously at all. Big thanks to Omar/AA and Rennspec! |

The drone is almost nearly non-existent with this setup. I realize that sounds crazy, but it's really not that bad.
My SES light came on after 100 miles or so. Once I acquire a couple of other mods, I'll be getting a tune for sure. |

ummmm...... I'm not so sure I agree with that one.. Give it a couple thousand miles till it breaks in, it gets louder. I took mine off because the drone got annoying after about a half hour drive. It's pretty loud. Granted it's much better than many other systems on the market.
