Arrived 5/10/11 at the dealer. 5 days at VDC. Picked up on 5/11/11. Unfortunately I had to fly out of town the next day, so I haven't gotten to enjoy the new car.

Didn't realize how little I would miss my E46. This car makes my 2003 E46 feel so old.

I already have a tint + clear bra schedule for this weekend.
I also got the blackened grills and side markers..as a bday gift

Sigh

Just called my CA. Said he hasn't heard anything from the VDC. They're still waiting on a rim to get shipped in to replace it. They told my CA 5/23. He said I may get lucky and get it this week. I'm hoping so. I'm gonna be soooo bummer otherwise. I have big plans for the g/f's birthday, and a friend is coming down from Canada too.

that sucks man.. My ca told me originally me ETA was supposed to be 5/2x too. That would match the 6-8 weeks since production. You should ask them to swap out the rim at the dealership.

oh and BTW, my car came with pirelli p zeros

I was lucky to get the PS2's on mine.

I did ask him if they could just swap the rims later, but he said they're adamant about doing it now for ED imports. :/

While I was waiting I kept having second thoughts about the JB. When I saw it though I was blown away. It is such an incredibly sexy color when clean. The fox red just pops too when paired with JB.

I got a full front end clear bra appointment scheduled for tomorrow. So there goes another $2k. I would definitely recommend getting a clear bra for your JB. I was always disappointed I didn't get the clear bra on my E46 Imola.

Premier. Check out the work they do on the forums and you'll see why it's a little pricier than most.

You got it right. $2k was just the estimate. I added up the itemized email and it was slightly lower than your quote. However, when I went in today I added a bunch of panels so closer to 3K now. I am getting it done in Fremont. Hey send me a PM if you want to continue this conversation. It's probably not good practice to be talking pricing here. Don't worry, this is a great company I've worked with them on a few other cars in the past.

My car is on day 2 of being en route status. The link in post four I believe says no records found. My CA says he cannot tell me estimated day of arrival or the ship the car is on. BMWNA says they can. My dealer did say that from the time the car gets on the ship it will be another 4 to 6 weeks until it gets to the dealer. Is this accurate?

Mine also said no records found, but it was on the ship. What is the name of your ship?

That is wrong. Once the car does get on the ship, the dealer is able to look up that info.

From when the car gets on the ship, give it about 3 weeks from docking, till the day you pick up the car. Anything more, and you should suspect damage.
