BMW Driver Training - Feb 3-5
Hi M3 Brothers and Sisters,
Gilbo and I went down to do the Intensive and M Dynamic courses on Phillip Island. Needless to say - I totally understand how little I know about the capabilities of the car, and have new found respect for what it can do. I did manage to get my car's doppelganger (space gray M3) up to a sweet sweet 245km/hr down the front straight on Phillip Island. Pics to follow shortly. Cheers. Zender M3

The car is frankly that impressive. If only the straight was longer - I would have been able to hold it at that speed/potentially hit 250km/hr.... although we were restricted by the pace car.
The instructors took it to 250km/hr.

I'm sooo jealous... I could only get the M3 to 200kmh at Barbagallo. We really need a longer track here. We have a BMW Club track day there in May and I'm going to try to crack a true 200kmh - hopefully measured on a Performance Box. Can't rely on the speedo.

AMK - Even if it was only 230km/hr.... I'm still happy I got to read the needle up to that point on the speedo... feels real good!
Immy - it was great to meet you mate!

I won the M3 model on the 3rd and I won the sunnies on the 5th. Zender pulled out a good time early on the 5th and put the pressure on, but with two runs to go it was quite good enough to take the win....
