E90 M3 DCT Ordered Tonight

So after test driving a fully loaded black on black 6sp E90 tonight, I ordered mine with the following:

Premium, Tech, & Cold Weather packages, DCT, 19" wheels, and iPod jack.

AW / Fox / Carbon leather

My CA was cool and bought me the cargo net for the trunk.

End of May delivery was what they told me. Can't wait!!

I say your dealer is not being accuarte here, My DKG that was march production got pushed back until may due to shortage of supply.

I highly doubt that your newly ordered sedan will come out before mine.

Call 800-831-1117 and ask for yourself to verify all this.

I should be getting my production number today. I ordered it at around 7pm last night and they closed at 8pm. The sales mgr. told me that he'll enter my order into the system this morning with a 111 status. He said that after that it'll take around 10 - 12 weeks to get the car. So that could mean end of May or mid June but he thinks end of May.

Bottom line, I don't care if it's May or June. 2 extra weeks isn't going to kill me. I'm just happy I'm getting the car.

according to my dealer, the system will not currently except a sedan configured with DCT. If you got an order through, please share what week production and production number

Speak of the devil... my CA just called. You guys were right. Late May production for late July / early August delivery. Oh well.

I'm still grateful that I'm in a place in my life where I can afford such a cool car.

Cheers.

It handles surprisingly well in the rain for a 414hp FE/RWD car. I just couldn't stand the 6sp as it felt very rubbery and a little notchy from 1st to 2nd. I'm sure a UUC SSK will take care of that right quick though - it made a huge improvement in the shifting feel of my '01 330ci. And no, I'm not starting a 6sp vs. DCT war here - just voicing my opinion.
