It only costs 16 cents a mile to buy miles during the lease, cheap imo. It does not cost more to insure a leased car.

I leased a vw back in my younger years. Yes my insurance rate was more because the car was leased. Maybe it has changed in the last few years. To each his own, but Im not going to call and buy miles each time I want to go on a long trip, or go over. Plus, I dont want to worry about how many miles I put on the car. I would rather enjoy the car.

You don't buy miles each time you go on a trip, you wait until the lease is about 6 months from complete then buy an appropriate number of miles if necessary. If you lease and plan to buy at the end of the lease you don't care about the miles. Leasing, if done at a time like now, when BMWFS gives you $2250 on any 2013 lease makes a lot of sense since the $2250 offsets the lease fee of $725 and a lot of the interest. At the end of the lease you may be able to buy the car for less than the residual, or you can walk away.
