depends what you're going for, if you get the limited editions and such, the quality seems to be a bit better.

I have 2 androids and couldn't be more pleased with the quality. One was purchased from a store, the other online, shipping was about 4-5 days (and that was coming into canada, so that's extra time)

Chewy has purchased 2 I believe, and he wasn't overly impressed with one, but he loves his other one.

I'll let him chime in on the reasoning though as I forget what he didn't like about the one.

Thanks for the response ! it was the first time hearing about them today reading this thread.

I was considering getting divemaster trans 50 le as just another daily watch. In addition, the Virtuoso Ceramic Tourbillon Limited Edition for special occasions.

As for the virtuoso im pretty sure its great for the price but for the divemaster i like the black and red kind of reminds me a b&r for some reason.

Yes please chewy chine in aswell

as for the tourbillon, there's at least 3 of us here with one I think.

mine has been fantastic. Keeps time well, and people notice it a bit. I have the 50mm, I think the other 2 are sporting 45mm ones. The faces on them don't show well on the website, but there's a pearl effect to them which is very nice. (that's me speaking of the dark one, I have not seen the light ones in person)

I think it was well worth the money, and I ordered the watch repair kit with it, been handy for taking straps off for cleaning watches and stuff. I think I got it on there at 45$ or something, was a nice add on.

I am wearing this today. I am a fan of diving watches and I enjoy wearing this one the most (on bracelet or Bond strap). :-)

Lum Tec M51

Anyone have one of these?

http://www.lum-tec.com/collection/cu...o/m51-835.html

It reminds me of the PAM 028 at 5% of the price.

What do you guys think?

My old man has a lumtec. The lum is impressive on them, and the build quality is acceptable. However, I would avoid looking at any limited editions they might have, the scour the parts bin instead of making bespoke parts. (and its obvious in a bad way).

It might be lack of funds in the company that makes those choices for them, who knows. But their normal lines are quite nicely put together.

I'm only considering the M51, is this considered a limited edition unit?

M51 is part of the normal line. It has a decent movement in it as well. Not Swiss, but still good all the same. The lum on the lumbered watches are about as good as panerai watches, which is impressive considering the price difference. Some say its slightly weaker, but I think that might just be panerai guys claiming that to justify the money they spent on their Pam's.

I think if you get the watch you will likely be happy with it.

Hey man. I like android as well. It takes them about 3-5 business days to ship, and it takes about 2 days to arrive to me.

There are two things you have to consider though:

1. For some reason I feel that the photos on their website look better than the watches actually do in person. That's not the case for every watch, as my tourbillion looks great, but the Octopus south beach edition wasn't as nice. It could just be that they have a really good product photographer.

2. I agree with Reed that their limited edition watches seem to be of better quality, in general. Although the cheap ones seems to be just that... Cheap. The main issue I had s other winding movement and the quality of the crown.

But, as I previously said, I love the tourbillion and I get many more complements from it than my Ball. The price point for Android is good and when there is a sale on their higher end watches, it's a great deal.

Which one are you looking at?

I noticed the "rolex" engraved letters on the inside of the bezel in this pic. I inquired, and I was told that only the newer Subs have that inner-bezel engraved letters. Your watch in the pic has the older style case with the holes for the strap pins, but the newer style engraved bezel. Just wondering about that, did you have the newer bezel installed?

I have only one watch, my Sub, and I love mine as well.

14060M (non date sub) as pictured have an engraved rehaut and lug holes, they are a bit different than the more common 16610.

Aaahh, I see. Thanks very much.

I only have my date Sub, but having gained interest in fine watches, I've learned to notice small details.

I'm saving for my next watch, but kind of lost now that I've researched, there's a thousand watches I'd love to own but can't afford.

Just bought myself an Orange monster for Xmas. Just wore it today for the first time. This is one cool watch, especially for the money. It's nicer than a lot of more expensive watches.
