i took my megan plus test pipe setup to the track and i think it didn't like it....now there is some sort of rattle on certain bumps that was never there before. got under the car and check a few spots out. now, the rattle has almost gone away but sometimes happens on bumps. i think the exhaust got too hot and got butt hurt lol....looking for akrashit now. yes i call it akrashit. because it is the shit!

I probably only have heard my car from the outside like twice for very brief moments.
Probably 7k miles, everyone says it sounds great, mine is the same, half throttle up to about 6k from a stop light is when it is bad. Wide open it sounds good though. I dont know maybe it is me telling myself it sounds bad so I can convince myself to buy the akra. LOL

HAHAHA

I was doing the exact same thing but had GMP do a drive by for me in my car and it sounded great. My buttery smooth new shifter set up has recently kept my mind off another exhaust so only new x-pipe on my radar... for now.

As per the above question by gatorfast, if you were to install an E92 Akra muffler on an E90 M3 could you adjust the tips so it would look flush (assuming no diffuser)?

Any E90 M3 owners gone through this?

Install a diffuser and it'll be perfect.

They will only slide in so far. I wouldn't even call them adjustable, they slide on and then clamp down, but the tailpipe that the tip slides on has slits in it and there is a spot where the pipe stops the tip from sliding any further. The stopping point is where the tip is meant to be clamped down.

Ah right thx. So would the short answer of an E90 M3 using an E92 M3 akra slip on (and wanting it to be flush) out of the question then i take it?

Yes, i can't even get my E90 tips flush and the E92s are 1.5" longer.

Good to get that confirmation, virtually no E90 M3 Akras out here but you do see E92 Akras floating around. So would have to go new to get one I suspect
