Another 335i vs. 2005 E46 M3

Just got my car the other day and all i can say is wow! This thing is nuts. I recently had an '02 IS300, and this car can't even be compared to it.

To make a long story short, i had 3 passengers in the car, so 4 people total, rollin down the street around midnight. I see an e46 m3 heading the opposite direction, and without hesitation all of my buddies yell, "GO GET EM'!" I instantly bust a u-turn and head on after him. We both are speeding, rolling around going 60 in a 45, and i pull up next to him. I hear him downshift, but i'm already to strike sitting at around 4k rpm. As soon as I hear him get on it , i unleash what's under the hood. I pulled on this guy so hard it was embarrassing. He was at least 3 car lengths behind me when we hit the brakes and pulled up to the light. I'd say we shut down close to 110. Obviously there weren't many people on the road. Safety first

The best part about the entire thing, besides all of my friends laughing hysterically, was that when he pulled up next to me he couldn't help but roll down his window and ask, "what issss thattt BRO!?"

He had no idea what had hit him.

Obviously he had no reason to be an owner of an M3. A halfway descent driver in that m3 would have walked. Its not an opinion, its fact

I would agree with you regarding the driver of the car, but "walked" is a strong word. I've seen many videos, as im sure you have, of both stock cars going at it either being dead even or the 335i coming out on top. Either way the 335 gives the m3 a run for its money. Now that's a fact.

He probably wasn't racing then....you should not have 'walked' especially with 4 people in your car. I own an 03 M3 and an 07 335i both are modded but stock for stock it should be a drivers race to somewhere between 70 and 80mph where the M3 will start to pull away. From a roll under 80mph the 335 has the advantage and in anything in the triple digits belongs to the M. My 335 put down a few more hp stock than my M3 did but the gearing and LSD help the M3 out alot.
