Brand new M3 down for 2+ weeks with bad EDC strut

As I mentioned earlier this week when I announced my new E90 M3 purchase, the EDC malfunctioned on the way home from the dealer. The dealer was finally able to diagnose it on Friday and its a bad front strut. The problem is that there are apparently no front struts in inventory and they estimate 2+ weeks before they can get one from Germany. In the mean time I'm not to dirve the car because the shocks default to full stiff (stiffer than even the stiffest EDC setting) and it puts significant strain on the internal valving and could prematurely wear it out.

Awesome, just awesome. Nothing like buying a brand new car and not being able to drive it for two weeks. Good thing I have other cars.
