park place ltd in Bellevue? I know the owner, and it's a couple miles from me if you want me to look at the car in person.

thats the one. the reason I ask is that i read some reviews and a bunch of unhappy customers because they feel their cars are bad quality. if you dont mind looking at it. i really like the car eventhough the fox red is not my 1st choice but i would still take it. if you can get him to sell for 55k im sold and maybe you can ger referal money .

Not necessarily as when you check the vin sometimes the dealer comes up as an owner when the title is transferred. I see this happen with auction cars too. So I take those reports with a grain of salt.

Best bet is to contact BMW and give them the vin and they will tell you all the history.

I love how people are going to buy an M3 and can't friggin pay the small fee for a vehicle history report. I am sorry but I was the lead architect and designer of the the Experian Auto Check Application which is a direct competitor to CarFax and actually much bigger. It is not like this stuff is free to these companies to provide the information. Sorry for the rant but it drives me nuts how extremely cheap some people are about this.

Why do I have to be cheap I thought this is like a community where everybody helps out. The same when people ask for auction prices on certain cars.
Do you expect them to get a dealer license so that they can have that info.

The vehicle history reports can be purchased by any person in the world and is a paid service. People have a job and support there families by people ordering those reports. A history from BMW off their systems with a vin is provided by a dealership for free. You can ask a dealership to run a report for you and if they don't You DO NOT have the option to purchase it.

It is the same as downloading songs without paying for it.

Just for giggles - I bought a carfax report, but I'm looking for the dealer sheets that show details on work done, warranty dates etc. THis is not something that is available from a carfax. Anyone working at a dealership - if you can pull this for me for a car I'm buying in a couple of days, I'd really appreciate it! Please PM.

Thanks

Call the freaking dealer yourself!! If you're def gonna be buying one, you're gonna want to have a relationship with a dealer. As stated before, call your local dealer, explain that you are buying a car, etc. And they'll give you all the info.

It has had 5 owners, reported stolen, water damaged, salvage titled, and last but not least, it was listed as a factory test bike which legally should never be sold to the public. You make the call. hehe

It's not being sold by a BMW dealer. Besides, since I don't own it yet - I'm not eligible for that info. It's called doing one's homework.
