Sedan owners: what's the button between the seat heater buttons?

Okay, I'm on a mission now. There's a button just to the right of the left seat heater button on the sedan in Jalopnik's review, and whatever it is, I don't have it and it's not mentioned in the coupe manual. It's one spot to the left of where the power rear shade button goes.

So what is it?!

pretty sure it is for front PDC. the button has a P with a forward and backward arrow all arranged in a diagonal.

EDIT: okay, after looking at this again, that is impossible because this is a US spec car. i do not know the answer to what that damn button is. is this some hill assist feature?

Funny, that car also has front PDC sensors, so the button is for front PDC. Don't know how that comes, maybe a pre-production version.

Best regards, south

This is interesting. So for all those threads which went on about how there was no room for the front sensors and the amber reflectors were complete nonsense ...

So perhaps front PDC will be something they will offer in 2009.

south, you are most certainly right. i was too lazy to zoom in on the picture. once i went back to check and saw the reflectors i new it was US spec so i thought there was no way it could have front PDC. this is very weird.

What kind of forums are you on that spread that kind of mis-information? I have never heard of that made-up reason.

Best regards, south
The NJ license plate looks like it is one of the BWM NA press cars used at Laguna Seca. Like you said, possibly a pre-production version.

That's correct

There are several other blank buttons, even in the fully loaded cars. Why?

The rear sunshade button is in the middle, and there is a blank space on either side...

Driver's Heated Seat, Blank, Rear Sunshade, Blank, Passenger's heated Seat

Yeah, I hate the blanks. Passengers are all like, "what options did you skip out on, cheapskate?"

Actually, they aren't like that at all -- I don't think they could care less -- but it bugs me anyway.

So did we ever decide why US Spec cars don't have front PDC?

I also note you guys have a Compass in the rear vision mirror, in place of high-beam assist in Oz cars.
