M DESIRE
Is it just me or have you noticed that the M cars, espescially the M3 (ala E46)or soooooo desireable over the reg Bimmers? I mean they really are like nite and day. As much as I like the 330i- it is gorgeous to me, I just know the new M3 is going to be just nuts. I tried to figure out why I like the M's so much, and especially after owning an 02' M3 coupe I think I figured it out- for me at least.....
1. Power Gobs of it, more than most people know what to do with.. 2. That little M badge with its tricolors and that BIG BOLD SLANTED CHROME M and of course the BIG number that comes after it..... Just the sight of the badge on a car especially TiAg or Black Sapph just gets my mouth watering. 3. The Chrome Quad Exhaust. Bold, Big and Bad @#!&(@(# When I first got my 02 M3 I felt like it was Xmas morn again. Can you say DESIRE! Am I the only one that is like this???? |

Oh definitely! The ///M badge's reputation precedes it so there's a certain jaw-dropping factor anytime anyone who's familiar with cars sees the badge (at least that's the way it is with me). Nowadays you see an M5 or M6 and you know that sucker has got 500hp's under that hood. And soon enough when people see the new M3 they know they'll be looking at a 400+ hp world class handling machine.

I share your views, for I soon to get my first M3-cab
why M cars 1. just feeling the torque makes me smile 2. I dont have to speed to make a statement 3. having an M would be like "walking softly but with a big stick" 4. I can hold on the M car much longer and still people will notice an M over a 06 e90 5. fun and fast

M's the BEST! they just have the reputation for being the best cars in its class! in power, in style and the way it drives... mind you many designs from M-cars have been adapted to other makes of cars... just to name the obvious, the E36 M3 mirrors etc...

up the stakes
oh they will, my guess is the new M3 will crack the 4 second 0-60 time when either C/D, M/T or R/T does a road test.
Why will it crack it when the M5 does 0-60 in 4.1 sec? Well, the new RS4 does it in 4.3 and has approx 414 HP. The new M3 will have at least that much HP and weigh 3-400 lbs less so........ I'm thinking 3.9 sec's. Has to be when you consider the next C-class will have an AMG C63 with at least 450HP when it comes out winter of 07'.... |
