Adjustable perches - how many threads

How many threads of the sleeve should the collar come into contact with. I just installed the GC sleeve kit and to get the car lower than stock i needed to be just below the bottom of the threaded sleeve with the collar.

I'm not sure why I needed to get that low, I guess maybe it will settle in and I'll have to raise it back up. I only have about 3/4" of travel before the bump stop.

You might not have the sleeve's fully seated on your damper. It's a tapered fit and it needs a decent amount of force to get it properly seated. You should also make sure both sides are equally fitted by measuring.

+1 You definitely have an error in your install as you would be significantly lower than stock with the adjusters that low if it was done correctly.

The hub's sleeve where the shock goes into or the threaded collar/sleeve/spring perch?

^ It could be either or both, but the damper into the hub assembly is probably fine. I suspect the sleeve-over spring perch is clamped too high.

After 4-5 hours of a road trip and a couple hundred miles round Daytona, the sleeves should be compressed by now. I'll post up some pics of my settings and stance for comparison.
