Those are some pretty good prices. Looks like the $300 deductible 5yr/100k mile plan is the sweet spot. It will take 4 claims for the $150 deductible plan to just break even with the $300 one.

Interesting. I just pulled mine up to see and I paid $2,469 for the same coverage. This was from last year and mine only had 23k on the clock so that could be the reason for the discrepancy.

nice ride. I know you said you are going to keep it stock but I organized an exhaust meet at EAS and I see you are from socal. Come meet some other members and listen to the x65 orchestra in concert to help you decide which set up to go with in the meantime! We have quite a large group coming.

I got 4yrs/50k miles with a $250 deductible for $2k with just under 40k miles. I think anything around the $500/year mark is a great deal and has a good chance of paying for itself.

I've had good experience with carmax. My gl320 warranty from them was $2500 with the $50 deductible and I've got warranty work done on that suv for about just over $6k so far and I still have 3 years left the on it.
I just didn't want to get hit with $300 each time I had to take the m3 in for work but i guess it would be the same if I took it in twice within a short span of time.

Thanks! Yeah I saw this thread. I have something with the family at lunch time but I will try and get them up earlier so we can check this thing out. I really want to hear the oem perforated exhaust mod in person.

Yeah, I hear ya. At the $150 level you just "prepaid" for the first 4 claims compared to the $300 level. Not a big deal, you'll probably end up making 4 claims over the course of 5 years anyway so chances of breaking even are pretty good. I've already made 3 claims that have amounted to almost $10k and I'm only about 6 months into my coverage!

Hah so ironically after posting in this thread, I had to use my car max warranty. $1300 of work to replace the vacuum sensor for brake booster as well as fix a leaking timing chain cover gasket. in one visit the warranty has halfway paid itself off.

Yeah. Dealer is actually only 2.8 miles away so more practical from that perspective
