Alpina B3 Biturbo 410hp 443tq 190mph vs M3
So what do you guys think about this car based on N55 motor with 410hp 443tq with great throttle response, locking diff, 20inch rims 190mph top speed with akrapovic exhaust. This car can do 0-60 in 4.2 and 0 to 125mph 14.00 sec flat, and price wise Alpina cost slightly more than 335is not bad. How close will new M3/4 be to these spec since it will essentially be running same motor.
And how would Alpina compare to current M3 performance wise? Current M3 still has better suspension but these two would be pretty close. |

Probably really close but M3/M4 will likely be faster (assuming hp is underrated). With the prior gen M3 GTS and CRT, you also know how a lighter weight 444 hp car performs at a 7.7 weight to power ratio, so would expect performance to be in line with those M3 versions (both straight line and on track).

It looks faster than the current M3, which needs about 15 seconds for the 125 mph run.

M Division and Alpina have different tuning philosophies, so it will be very interesting to see the new M3/4 vs Alpina B3. Steering feedback may very well be the deciding factor...

Is the 410/440 at the crank or at the rear wheels? Modders have been getting that at the rear wheels from the older N54 for years. I agree the Alpina is probably a more reliable and comprehensive (and expensive) package, though.
