I had these on my 2006 Z4M coupe and loved them. Alot better then the continentals that came from the factory. Plus the sidewall looks awesome and has a nice rim protector on the tires aswell. Definately recommend them and I will be buying them again when I need to replace my current tires.

Just had these installed on the M3 this past week and went to the North GA mountains yesterday- these tires are GREAT performers despite the low cost and I will probably be getting these for my Z4M when the Toyo T1Rs wear out......

Can't wait for my RAC wheels to get here and get those on. I'm hydroplaning on my PS2s now.

I thought you said your PS2's were pretty much dead about 4 months ago?

Here's Vred at SEMA.

How do they feel compared to PS2's?

Also, how would they compare against RE-11's or AD08's?

no comparison to RE-11 or AD08
completely different class tires, I have the AD08 on my E46 M3 now and they blow PS2's away in just about every aspect except comfort.

Good memory! I picked up a set of used rears in July from an M3 Forum member to get me through.

My review:

Steering feel is a little lighter than PS2.

Despite this the vagueness that you get with the PS on initial turn in before the steering weights up is absent. The steering is neutral through a full turn.

Front end grip is equal to the PS2 in road driving.

I would say that rear grip is actually better than the PS, again for road driving. For example in a 2nd gear hairpin the rears hook up earlier and with less traction control interference.

Watch out for the rubber beads / threads that come from the tire mould. These take a couple of hundred miles (maybe 250-300) to wear off on the fronts (maybe 100-150 on the rears) and until then the grip levels are way off. Same as on all tires of course but I thought it was more distinct on these and took longer to run in than any tire I've tried before.

I had some new PS2s on the rear the other day and could hardly get out of the tyre fitters wet car park for the wheelspin on light throttle due to the mould release agent on the tyres.

What sizes would you guys recommend for stock 18's e90 M3.

They have the 245/40/18 for front but no matching 265/40/18 for the rear.

Thanks

No rubbing issues, except with 255/35 front you MAY rub on full lock.

Question

Ok, I'm VERY convinced to get the Vred's as my PS2's are near bald now but won't be getting them till I move to Phoenix here in a few weeks (car ships out tomorrow actually).

I see Group A Wheels sells them, and they have a shop in Phoenix, anyone ordered/worked with them before?

But my biggest question is this. My 08 E92 M3 is completely stock with OEM 19"s. I see from the many post they don't make the Vred's in the OEM rear size (265-35-19) so everyone recommends 275-35-19 for the OEM rear 19", cool.

But they DO make them in OEM sizes for the front. But should I go with that OEM size for the front (245-35-19) or would 255 better "match" the slightly increased rears?

I'm a tire noob, so I'm learning what these things mean but I have a lot of questions.

I'll post some pics when I get them installed probably in the first week of January. I know their just tires, but I haven't seen anyone who has them actually show pics of what they look like instaled.

Yes, I ordered my Vreds (255/35-19 F, and 275/35-19 R) from Group A Wheels, and they were delivered very quickly. You will have no problems with those sizes on the OEM wheels.

I'd pick the wider front, myself.

Now is that going to affect performance (or lack there of) in any way if I go with the slightly wider ones?

She is my daily driver, but I often have sprited drives, and plan to attend a local driving school or two with her this year (went to my 1st this summer, it was addicting).
