Awesome to see this product offered by ACM so it can help out as many M3 owners as possible. Guys, this is one of the best mods I have put on my car without a doubt. The difference was night and day. As Lalit said, it is a must have and won't cost you an arm and a leg like most M3 mods!

Is there a DIY link or guide? Is there welding involved?

Can you elaborate more on the installation(trimming, etc)........4 hours seems like a long time for what's being installed
Has anybody used it on the track or is this geared for more straight line performance? Thanks. |

Tim B. The rear two rubber differential bushings need to be pressed out. This takes the majority of the time. Removing the exhaust and heat shields, then re-installing takes the rest.

here's a link to the install guide:
http://www.defivfabrication.com/inst...ownInstall.pdf In the cars that have been equipped thus far, a few noticed a slight whine on deceleration over 50mph, but quieted down within a couple hundred miles of driving as the poly bushings seated completely. Some noticed no noise whatsoever. In the one case that consistently made noise, It was discovered that both carrier bearings inside the diff were damaged, and no noise has been present since the repair. Tim B., It is designed for use in any environment that one would subject it to. It's sole purpose is to eliminate drivetrain slack and provide more predictable power delivery to the wheels in any situation. The suspension is completely unaffected by the modification altogether. this is a nice piece, but that price is ridiculous for what it is. M tax to another level. Prices on these cars really need to start approcahing reality as the e9x gets older and cheaper

Lol. Typically I wouldn't bother responding to that...but...If you were aware of time/material costs and factor in that each one is hand made, one at a time you'd think differently...or maybe not. No automated robots welding or an assembly line. The 4130 unit is an incredibly fair price for what went into and comes from it. I'm sure there will be a junk cheap ebay knock off one day, have at it. This is what it costs to make things in the USA these days. M tax...pfft.
