Whats your policy on micro fiber towels?
I always used micro fiber towels to dry my car after a wash then throw em out. Usually go threw 2-3 towel per wash.Am i just going over board wasting all these or can they be washed and re-used (for drying the car with out damaging paint). I do save some towels for wheels and interior but mostly they go right in the trash.

Unless you use them to wipe alot of dirt, just wash them, then air dry them. They work like a charm

you should get couple large waffle weave mf drying towels- much more absorbent/effective and reusable (I got mine from detailedimage.com)
if you buy quality mf's, should be able to reuse w/o any probs |

As long as they aren't super dirty, I always wash them, air dry and then use a lint brush before re-use.
I am not even exagerrating when I say I have tried almost every MF towel out there. The softest imo are the Arctic White MF towels from autogeek.net |

I see you have black... IMO, you should ditch towels for drying altogether. Go to your local home store and pick up a small electric leaf blower for around $40 and an extension chord. These are very effective at shooting all the water off your car, including all the little crevices, and will GREATLY reduce the chance of swirl marks in your paint.
This is a little detailer secret...

I use a Master Blaster dryer to dry the car. Best investment one could make.
Also, just clean your microfiber towels with the special microfiber detergent as mentioned above and you will be able to use them for a long time. |

Wash them and reuse. If they are only used for drying they should not be getting dirty at all. If the area where you wash the car is clean, i'd also use the blower and go around with Mf towel and detailer spray to get the small areas left over.

Going through towels like that is very wasteful in my opinion. I would definately wash and reuse. One thing to add to what others have said, do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets like bounce...the towels will be much more absorbant without.

Also make sure to use the cold cycle onmthe washing machine and just air dry them... Heat will ruin the MF towels

I reuse mine too but when I use the CG wash I see or feel no difference than regular detergent.... Intact I was pretty disappointed with CG wash and decided not to use it any more....
Am I missing something?

where do you throw them out? I will love to pick them up. Get quality microfiber towels (I use Chemical Guys) then wash them right after you finish.

we don't reuse the same towel on another car without machine wash 2x before reuse. and of course we separate the types as well. bigger question is, what kind of MF are you using? if they are the super cheap ones, doesn't matter new or used/washed, it can still scratch...

Used a leaf blower last year but went back to towels find it easier, since i like using a quick detailer spray for a little extra shine when drying.
