380mm Gran Turismo bbk V Stock brake weight

I fitted my 380mm Gran Turismo bbk Today and thought I would weigh everything for ref.

Stock (worn) front rotor 9.86kg or 21.7lb

Stock caliper/carrier/ worn pads assembly 6.38kg or 14lb

Gran Turismo 380mmx32mm rotor 9.25kg or 20.35lb

Carrier 1.44kg or 3.1lb

6 Pot Monobloc Caliper 3.46kg or 7.61lb

Pads 1.46kg or 3.2lb

So in total, the stock setup is 36lb

Front Gran Turismo 380mm kit is 34.25lb

Not much weight saving, but who cares when they look so good

can't believe I never saw this thread. thanks for posting the data - I was curious about this as well. I have the slotted 380mm GT rotors, so I'm guessing the 2lb difference goes to zero, which I have no problem with. I love these brakes for how evenly they apply pressure to mitigate brake fade and uneven pad deposit buildup. it took only 5 sessions with the stock brakes to leave the track feeling like I was in an ill-maintained taxi when coming to a stop. a quick look at how much larger the brake pads are in the Brembos explains the whole story.

The two pound difference is pretty significant because I hear a lot of arguments for not going to the BBK due to the added unsprung weight. So, that argument is now invalid. OEM=Heavier. Thanks for the info. (anyone have an extra $7k laying around for my kit?)
