DCT 1/4 mile run with Drag Radials

Took my 2009 DCT equipped M3 to the track yesterday and I'm VERY happy with the results!

Temperature was 80 degrees and the car weighed 3690 according to the track scales with me in it. My mods included:
Akrapovich full exhaust, Powerchip, AA pulley, and 265/40R18 Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials mounted on 18" M3 wheels.

I'm going to be selling my Drag tire/wheel setup if anyone is interested in getting times like this out of their M3 (PS2s mounted on the front and M/T ET Streets mounted on the rear).
Check out my other thread if interested: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310734

Thanks guys! I've had a ball these last two weeks with the car. I was on Road Atlanta for the BMWCCA Oktoberfest and then went to the dragstrip the week after. The M3 is multi-talented!

Sweet time. MPH would probably imply mid to high 12s without the drag tires.

Hey Jesal, which wheels are those?

Nice job! You hit that in less than ideal conditions as well! The DA at that track was around 2150' at the time you ran, not good for NA motors, corrected you could have hit these #'s 11.944 @ 117.089 MPH!

I did a Vbox run recently, didn't launch the car at all, my ET was horrible, I was just going for trap speeds not ET's, and hit a 118MPH trap with relatively the same mods you have besides the muffler, for the power these DCT's move! Going to try again with my Drag Radials for a good ET, then hit the track as well when it cools down a bit.

3692 is light with a passenger...What options does the car have? Any weight reduction? Either that or you weigh 100lbs

Possible if you don't fuel up.

I'm 6' 2 and weigh 210. Only options I ordered on my coupe were DCT and 19" wheels. I had a little over 1/4 tank of fuel, removed the floor mats, and the floor in the trunk. Plus the exhaust is 50 lbs lighter.

Great run!

However, am I the only one that was expecting to see something less than a 1.9 w/ DR's?

Very nice

1.9 60' isnt great with drag radials but most drag strips have terrible traction issues when doing a 'test n' tune' day

just think, ~1.8 could have netted a 11.9999 pass

DCT is great for 1/4 mile-

Definitly I can see 11s runs with better runs! That's FAST!!

DCT seems to shift pretty hard, so you might want to watch the drivetrain with drag tires.
