hey gents. i need some help.
my local dealer isn't very keen on selling me at invoice as the constantly say that the m3 is not a car that they discount etc...the CA said there's 6% mark up on the car and if they were to sell me close to invoice they won't make any money. i know that's b.s. here's the numbers- how do you think i should proceed/ how to get them down on price?

3yr/15k mi lease
mf: .0014
3300 down
1181.42 incl. tax
the CA said BMW is giving a 2500 rebate. i want to get them down on price and see if i can get in the 1000s. any help is appreciated.

I assume this is a 2010 you're talking about. If it is..I'd walk and find another dealer to deal with.

Hell, I was easily quoted $1000 above invoice (invoice + maco/training) on a 2011 coupe without even set foot in the 4 dealers I talked to.

You're basically buying the car at full pop, and I notice the mf has been marked up as well...

With the $2500 cash back, the dealer can easily do invoice and still make a pretty decent profit (dealer hold back...etc..etc)

I got quoted $750 under invoice. Do your shopping, if one dealer isn't willing to negotiate there's always another.

I'd look elsewhere because of the the BS mark up statement alone. But that's just me. I'm a bit bitter to blatantly dishonest salespeople.

thanks for the replies. i'm going to make them an offer for invoice, so let's see what happens. it's also difficult b/c they're the only dealership in my locality. they pretty much have a monopoly on bmw sales.

i've tried to get in contact with david, but to no avail. haven't got a response. anyone you guys recommend that'll give a good deal?

I know this may be a long shot, but it may also help.

I have also been looking at an M3 recently, and the dealer wants 73.5k for the car.

I found out about this program that Costco has through which its members can receive large discounts. I don't know whether you're a costco member or not, which is why this may be a long shot.

I got in touch with a different dealership than the one I had visited before which works alongside with Costco in giving these discounts to their customers, and I was offered an M3 with the exact same options at the price of 69k.

Don't know if this helps, just putting it out there as an option.

You should probably call David because he is very busy. When I got in touch with him he offered invoice for a 2011- no haggling.

The dealership in my city wouldn't negotiate at all so I had to try multiple dealerships in other cities that were further away... what's an hour or more drive in order to get a good price on a car?

Can you elaborate on your statement about the money factor? I am fairly new to leasing, and I'm about to lease at a money factor of .0014, but I was under the impression that this was actually a very good deal. It is equivalent to an APR of 3.36%, which is less than the 3.9% they are offering on purchases.

the March MF for 2010 M3s is .00125, now..you can always do the 7 MSD (deposits @ $700 each) to bring down the mf by .00049.

If your dealer is charging you .00140, then he's marking up the MF.

BMW is offering incentives to push the remaining 2010 M3s, super low MF and a $2500 trunk money.
