Driving at night

I have owned my E92 M3 for just over two weeks now (totally loving it!!! ), I’ve only had to drive at night 2 times but both times I am being flashed by oncoming traffic all the time. Last night I only went 2 miles down the road, I counted 8 cars coming the other way and 4 of them flashed me. Needless to say I flashed back (and probably burned their eyes out in the process!). All the lights are working fine and the beam is dipped.

I’ve had lots of cars with xenon lights before but never experienced anything like this, anyone else having this problem?

I have not had this problem with the M3 but had it all the time with the Range Rover Sport.

the other drivers are probably just not used to seeing the bright xenon lights - they can look very white and bright

Did you lower your car? I have a friend whom complaint about the same thing after he lowered his M3

Were you giving it the beans at the time by any chance?

I have had this myself, from time to time, and it was because I was accelerating hard and digging the rear into the road.

Never had it in any E92's and I'm on my 4th, the Xenon cut off line is so sharp ( a bit too severe IMO) If you're getting flashed, I'd get them checked.

If you've had it lowered, it's probably due to the self-levelling adjustment arm on the rear suspension being the wrong way round...

No all standard (apart from a few aesthetic tweeks), it's still under Warranty so I’ll take it back to the stealers for them to have a look at. Cheers anyway

Is it a new car? If you bought it second hand it's possible that the previous owner switched the lights for a European trip and failed to switch them back on their return. By 'switched' I mean pushing the switch behind each xenon that changes the direction of the beam.
