CCC Bluetooth Streaming
I know there are several topics about this, but i want to share my experience. I have a CCC unit with BT + Aux + USB. I was on the phone with my wife today while my phone had the GPS active and while my wife was talking, the GPS lady was talking at the same time. So, let's say if i was turning on my Radio App while she was talking on the phone it would start working and the BT Streaming would be successfully working without any other upgrade. So why can't I code to make my OEM Bluetooth stream music?

I am just hundred percent sure is the stock bluetooth connection can support ANY STREAMING. Because it streams phone calls. Only the problem is there must be a section on the Idrive other than AUX or USB. It must say Bluetooth. There must be a way to create/activate this section on NCSExpert.

It's software guys, a2dp wasn't out in 2008. You can't just code software to support something that requires hardware with newer Bluetooth support.
Your BT adapter supports it, that's why it works. But what mic is it using? Does the adapter have it's own mic? |

The music does play via bluetooth on the CCC. I sometimes get music after/before hanging up a bluetooth call. However, the sound quality is terrible and its mono.
A2DP is the protocol for Bluetooth streaming. It wasn't available for the CCC back in 2008.

I use the Belkin Aux Bluetooth in my '08. Instead of connecting your phone to the CCC I connect to the Belkin unit and it gives me the capability of using my phone for phone calls as well a music. My only issue with the unit is that you have to reconnect to the unit every time you turn on the car, but other than that, works perfect for playing music wirelessly.
