Guys, I'm not an expert here but before you all get so lathered up about this car, it looks like the storage cubby in the center console is substantially smaller than the regular e92 M3.

I really don't know what BMW is thinking here.

I love the orange color, the wing, the adjustable lip, suspension, everything. I am not in the market for a dedicated track car, but if I was, this would be very cool indeed. I don't really understand why there is negativity around this.

255/35/19 f and 285/30/19 r

I assume the rim will be a bit wider.

It has the potential to be fast, but a 7:40 on the ring is still a ways off of the 7:33 the GT3 just ran. And wait until the GT3 gets PDK, it will be 7:20s.

in addition to the fact that the (slower on paper) GT-R outperformed the GT3, you know the E46 M3 CSL beat the 996 GT3 around the 'ring by 4 seconds right?

Not officially. They say that the registration for other countries than Germany will be possible from summer 2010 on. Still, I wouldn't bet on its availability in the US.

Yes, Clarksons opinion on this car should be epic

However, this car is just boosting M3's position as a class leader!

I dont think there is going to be anything from M3's competition (Audi, Merc, Lexus-F etc.) that are going to build a GTS car to compete with this behemoth!

Good job BMW, this just shows that despite the recession we still have fun, hardcore sports cars with NA cars being built

Who cares if it doesnt trump the GT3?

I mean its too premature to make that kind of judgement!

Think about it, when the E92 M3 was released everyone claimed to be boring and a step backward because the M guys put a V8. And 2 years after, whats the verdict on the M3 E92 Well its the best all-around sports/luxury car that money can buy in this segment of cars!

So people, give it some time then voice your opinions!

wow.. nice.. i thought it would look more like the e46 csl.. had all the racing goodies but still looked subtle on the streets.. when i see this i think of it being strictly for the track.. id rather buy the e92 and do all of my own upgrades IMO
