With rays ze40 19 inch (F) 9.5 et 22 , (R) 10.5 et 35 + spacer 15mm What the best tire setup for me? I dont want any rub. For rear 295/30 is fine i think, the problem is front should i used 255 35 or 265 35 or 275 30? Last edited by dry87; 01-30-2017 at 08:19 AM.. Reason: 19 inch |

Assuming these are 19"s then I would go with a 265/30-19 up front

You can go 275 depending how low you want to go. I think a 265 would be a much safer bet for ZERO rub. The 265/30-19 is plenty tall, its a typical size that a lot of us run including me.
A 255/35 or 265/35 will 100% rub up front, they are just too tall.

e93 - Lowered on H&R
20x9 et20 265/30/20 F - Mich PSS - No Rub 20x10.5 et27 295/30/20 R - Mich PSS - Slight Rub Had 285/30/20 R but PSS sidewall didn't fully cover edge of the rim. No rubbing but didn't like the look. Wanted a 295/25/20 R but the gentleman at the tire store said the spec on the load isn't high enough for the weight of the vert. Calls for a 98 and all the tires that are 295/25/20's are only 95. Any idea how much of a concern this might be should I have him just get me a set of them? Do I risk a tire failure of some kind? It's not my DD so when I drive it, I enjoy a more spirited journey if you will. The only other option if I have to keep the 295/30's is to have more camber dialed in which would accelerate tire wear. I am at stock alignment specs now. Appreciate your suggestions in advance. |

Never had an issue running that setup over the 20k miles I put on it. Recently moved to a 265/30/19 front. |

New wheel setup is:
20x9.5 et19 20x11 et25 Was wanting to run 265/30/20 and 295/30/20 MPSS. Does anyone see any issues with running this setup and tire combo? I realize that this will be slightly larger than the OEM ZCP spec setup and I'm ok with that. I just want to make sure these will fit.

what would you recommend? I'm also thinking a 255/30 285/30 Hankook?

The width is one issue but the tire height is the big issue. That's the problem with going up to 20s on this car. You almost need to run a 265/25-20 and 295/25-20 so the tires aren't too tall. At stock height you can might get away with those hankook sizes but it is still gonna be pretty tight especially up front.

Oh wow, didn't even know we had this thread! I already asked in the TE37 thread, but I figure it can't hurt to post this question here since this thread is more applicable.
Is anyone specifically running 275/30R19 Michelin front tires on an Ohlins R&T setup with 19x9.5 ET22 or ET23 wheels up front? Concerned that they may rub with my particular suspension set. I was initially going for 265/30R19 front + 285/30R19 rear on 19x9.5 ET23 front + 19x10.5 ET23 rear Volk TE37 Ultra's, but then realized that they don't make 285/30R19 tires in the model that I'm looking to buy. So, I'll be changing my selection to either 275/30R19 front, 295/30R19 rear (20mm stagger) or 265/30R19 front, 295/30R19 rear (30mm stagger) Can anyone comment on what differences I should expect if I go with a 30mm stagger versus the stock 20mm stagger? I realize it's not a huge difference, so any perceived changes would be subtly felt, if at all. However, if someone could just quantify what increasing the stagger results in in terms of driving feel/characteristics in general, I'll have an idea of what to expect. Thanks gents! |

I'm wondering if i'm going to run into any problems with rubbing with this setup. Should I go to 30 on the height?

Thats what I was thinking as well but the RE71R doesn't come in that size sadly. It should be okay squeezing a 255/35 though right?

I run almost the same exact specs with no issues but I have a little extra camber dialed in. Lowered about 1" front and 3/4" rear
