Sorry I missed you guys--spent the weekend away with my girlfriend. For anyone in the area on Friday at 12:30pm, Technik will be dyno'ing my car stock, installing the Akra X-pipe w/ HFCs, and then retesting. I still haven't heard enough rear sections to make a choice on that yet.

I'll post my results here and in the Dyno Database next weekend.

Cheers.

Just the nature of the engine, you can see the ECU adjust the vanos around 7500 (note slight dip in HP/TQ) to maintain the torque peak but it runs out of steam around 8K. Nonetheless, 90% of peak torque is available from 4-8K, which is nice.

Not yet, still making adjustments for all fuel octane ratings, 91, 93 and racegas. Will be doing a 1500 mile roadtrip this week to further test reliability. I'll post updates about this project as we get closer to finishing the final tune.
Just brainstorming then here, but then is one to infer there is power to be shifted up top with a set of Schrick cams?

Just looking ahead, for shits and giggles, would one be able to run an NA aftermarket cam with an SC without needing a custom tune?

On the supercharged car, is it running a tune from G-Power or is it custom?

I am pretty certain that you would need a custom tune for the cams.

I don't think anyone makes any cams yet.
RDSport seems to have headers for their stroker engines.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

NA cams wouldn't be ideal for an SC since the profiles are designed for different types of airflow across the head. That being said, I've worked with Schrick in the past to develop SC cams and plan on doing the same for the S65 once we finalize the tune for these kits with the stock head/cam.

And to answer your question, as with any mod, if designed properly it will make more power without a software upgrade due to the adaptive nature of modern ECUs. But a custom tune is always needed to maximize performance.

No I haven't fully decided to install a s/c again or get a different car. Everyone that knows me knows I switch cars like shoes and this car is gonna be a year old on the 26th. We'll see what happens I still love my car hence I havent dumped it yet. But I have an itch for a GTR or 911 Turbo.
