O2 sensor question tuners

Is it possible for O2 sensors to not work properly and not throw a code?

Ususally not over time, unless the file programmed in is masking faults or has other unscrupulous changes.

I (hope) and don't think that any tuners would do this.

Thanks for the reply, I'm troubleshooting my 08, it has a bit of hesitation when I step on it on high gears and low RPMs. Threw a code the other day for the gas pedal and went into limp mode. I cleared the code and hasn't came back but hesitation still there. Have you seen these go bad?
BTW car has new plugs and clean air filter.

First flash back to stock and see if it's still there.

FWIW I've gone through 1 or 2 o2 sensors and a code has always come on for them.

2B05 - Pedal-position sensor 1
2B06 - Pedal-position sensor 2
2B07 - Pedal-position sensor, plausibility
2726 - Oxygen sensor, plausibility before cat., bank 1

My suggestion to you:
1. Check plug and wiring harness on PWG pedal travel sensor and at DME
2. Replace accelerator pedal module

Clear faults. If the o2 error returns, replace that sensor.

Then you should be all good to go

Mike I did check last night with bmwlogger s/w and noticed the tps breaking up. What I did was swapped the pedal with wife's 335, clear pedal adaptations and car runs great, feels like it gained 40whp lol. Thanks a lot for your help. Tomorrow I'm ordering a new pedal. 335 one works good but location of the Allen bolt is off

Good idea!!

Does switching that add the turbos too? Maybe that's the 40 hp you're feeling
