Unless there is structural damage, I'm going to say they WON'T total it.

I'm 90% sure they will total it.. The usual rule of thumb is if damage is around half the value of the car they would rather salvage it.

I am a Insurance Agent and I have to say car looks like it is totaled, i do not work for the total loss department or the claims department but i have seen many cars with damage like this and 99.9% of the time it is considered a total with that amount of damage to a car. Looks like it has frame, engine damage along with air bags being deployed so I would have to say totaled if you ask me .

Holy sh*t are you sure you are ok? That looks bad. I would imagine that even if you didn't feel all that bad at the time of the accident because your adrenaline is pumping...but maybe later the effects of a possible concussion, whiplash and sore back would emerge.

Had a concussion, still a little headache. I should be good no bruises or bumps.

Wow, this is horrible. Glad you are okay - and your poor M3 - two hits in a row! Horrible luck.

Totaled. Can't imagine your car will ever drive right again due to chassis damage, etc.

First off, glad to hear you're okay and able to walk away from that wreck.

Second, it's not about you suing them, it's about you making sure you take the necessary precautions to prevent long-term injuries sustained from this accident and having a paper trail from it so you can pursue appropriate healthcare cost reimbursements. What if that headache doesn't go away? If you wait too long, I could see an argument against you because you neglected to seek appropriate medical care for those symptoms. Just go to the doctor to get it checked out or go in for a follow up if you already went in. Best case is they give you a clean bill of health...worse case is that you may need some additional treatment to take care of those lingering symptoms.

Sorry to sound lawyerly on you, I promise I'm not the ambulance chaser-type. I've just had some clients and friends deal with similar situations only to come up empty handed after it was too late and stuck with small medical bills that began to add up.

Good luck with everything.
