Much different, e46 mounts will not fit in the e9x chassis.

Nice. The only thing is the OEM BMW CSL mounts have a system where you can "recline" the seat towards the front and still have use of the rear sets. *Hint *Hint, someone needs to come out with a similar bracketing system.
