As for me, I will always always stick to a N/A motor. Having been to the track umpteen times, N/A cars are always more durable/reliable over the long term.

My concern with any prospective F8x ownership is the sheer labor time involved to poke in the engine bay and work on stuff. It's too jam packed for any easy weekend DIY.

The lesson from all this-the new M3/M4 feels 'FAST' because of all that low end torque. If that's the game changer....there are many more worthy torque monsters out there albeit with sophisticated suspensions/chassis.

Don't forget there will be a new C63, CTS-V, RC-F and always the stellar C7 (for those who don't care for back seats)
If you want torque, get a Mustang or a Corvette!!!! Speaking of Corvette, take a look at the new Z07. Gorgeous. I've never been a fan of the vette, but this one really has my attention.

There's absolutely no way to tell how easy or difficult this thing is going to be to work on. The V8 is not exactly a walk in the park you know.

There's other things that the M3/4 does better than E9x. The new brakes are pretty damn phenomenal. Granted you could just get BBK for E9x. The F80/2 is damn stiff. I read that it's almost as stiff as an E46 M3 GTR race car. Think about that for a second.

As for me, I think I've come back down to earth after the test drive. I'm going to wait for LCI. By then, the E92 will be paid off, I can sell the E36 and use that as a down payment. Best of both worlds.
