Gintani Dyno Tune
I just got a Gintani dyno tune done at Gintani this past weekend in Van Nuys, CA. It went smooth, took about an hour and half and I was out in no time.
My setup is Riss Racing X-pipe w/ HFC + 2 custom Vibrant resonators, Gintani axle-back The two dynos are the before and after on the same day. More videos at bottom of page 1 w/ full Gintani setup

So it was 19HP with a tune and resonators?
How's it sound wtih the resonators? Does it still drone while cruising around 75? Nice dyno!!

Sounds ok. I actually like the sound better without them because downshifts sound much better but the car is a bit more civilized

Nice meeting you too. I felt a pretty big difference. Wheels spin when mashing it in 1st now (in 75 degree weather)

I hope u made sure the guys at Gintani did not change the settings on the DynoDynamics between dynos while u werent looking, just to make u think u got higher hp numbers.
Great numbers man, Im sure Alex showed u all their settings on the dyno just to prove u how legit they are, Gintani means business.

I went w/ Gintani's full exhaust setup so I replaced the Riss Racing X-pipe with Gintani's catless x-pipe. Here are a couple videos we shot.
The car made max 382whp that day at 93 degrees. My friend makes a strange noise in one of the videos.

How many pulls did you make that day? The vid shows 373.5 whp on the screen, and right below that is 375.2 whp which I assume is the previous run? Was the 382 whp run before these two, or after?

A breif overview and a few questions about these two setups...
The Riss HFC x-pipe & Gintani axle back exhaust made 377.4 whp. That's more whp than the new full Gintani catless exhaust on the video. Are you happier now, or do you think you should have just kept the Riss racing/Gintani setup you had on the car before? Or was the sound of the full Gintani exhaust what you were after? The power gains don't seem to be all that different between the two setups. I was expecting to see a bigger performance boost by deleting the cats from the Gintani x-pipe...but the whp numbers don't back that up. Any input on why this occurred? Removal of the cats from the exhaust path, should have boosted your whp numbers a good bit, but it didn't really improve the bottom line performance very much at all. I'd be disappointed if I bought another x-pipe, and the power ended up being nearly identical to what I had before. Well...unless I was after the sound more than the power... BTW: Who's idea was it to change out the x-pipe? Was it all your idea, or were you convinced by guys on the forum? (or maybe Gintani?) I only ask, because it seems that at least part of your decision must have been based on the potential power bump you assummed would materialize. I'm really curious to hear your reply to these these questions, as I think its important for everyone to know your honest impressions of the two different setups. It would really help the community to hear whether you would do it all over again? And if not...why? Remember, most of us aren't filthy rich, and we can't keep buying the same parts over and over again.
