Help me before a waste a ton of $$ on tires

Hey folks...
after a lot a searching with a lot of "almost" results i am sorry to say that i have to post "another fitment question" .... apologies in advance

what i've got

VMR 710

19 fronts 10" ET 25
19 rears 11" ET 22
all stock suspension
what i want..
i have a set of conti DWS 275/35/19 that i want to put in the front...
I also know that the front tire "may" look dementedly meaty... but i already paid for that and if it doesn't fit...no biggy and no loss because i already have the tires... but some input would greatly be appreciated
The bigger question is for the rear and was thinking about ordering conti DWS 295/30/19 for the rears...

all the threads i've read seem to imply that a PPS 295 with an ET 25 = zero rubbing...
i wonder if that will be true for the conti 295 with an ET 22... does anyone have this set up?
Any advice before i blow the dough?
thanks all

I just had a similar question and for you, it will rub slightly. Refer to my "fitment question" thread.

I hope you get your tire fitment issue squared away and I don't mean to threadjack, but I just want to point out that you have installed the heaviest wheels capable of fitting on an M3 (which increases unsprung weight and kills acceleration). Plus the already heavy nature of the e93, your car would be dramatically faster with a primary cat delete and a 3.62 rear-end. The primary cat delete will give you 20lb ft of torque increase all across the RPM range and the rear end with a higher final drive ratio will make your car rev much quicker and feel much faster.

You searched and couldn't determine that a 275/35/19 won't fit in the front? That's far too tall.

I would run 275/30/19 in the front but success will depend on your suspension and alignment settings. I think success of 295/30/19 in the rear will depend on your tire brand and suspension settings.

See this thread for some data:

I agree with longboarder.... VMR's are a downgrade from stock wheels. On top of that the DWS are an all season tire. Why downgrade your tire and wheels?

Thanks... I'll give the fitment a shot... and you know epic fails eventually lead to success... As far as the the CAT delete goes my wife just barely tolerates the Remus race... if i gut/delete the CAT she'd be really pissed

Thanks... i did see that thread and it was helpful ..i think your right about the 275/35 in the fronts... too tall.... but right now i have the 275/35 STRETCHED on the 11inch ET 22 VMR in back... I may move it to the front and drive around a bit and see what happens...

as far and the downgrade goes... i used to have a set of stocks that i ran over the summer and then a set of blizzaks mounted on stocks that i ran in the winter... after turning 35 getting married and baby on the way... i am just too lazy to do that any more...

if i;m honest i don't know if its laziness or i just don't care as much as i used too....also i don't push the car like i used too...so it doesn't make sense to me to blow a $4000 on a set of wheels...

the all-season on the VMR to me are the same reason i go to gym... i don't care about the health aspect, only for visual results...

I wouldn't waste the time / money. The 275/35's won't work. They are a full 1" too tall. I run that size on 18's and it rubs slightly at full lock. If you do some searching you will see many people whining about their 255/35/19's rubbing at full lock.... Your 275/35's will be rubbing like crazy. You say you are "too busy" to run snow tires but you want to waste your time with this?

This is flawed reasoning IMO. Now that you have a baby you want to run super wide all-seasons in the winter (rubber compound and width will both negatively impact traction in the snow)? Do you have another car for cold / snowy days? If so i could maybe understand but why compromise? Snow tires provide far more grip and are much safer in cold / ice / snow. If I was transporting a new child, safety would be the highest priority. It takes 30 min to 1 hour to switch a set of wheels (if the tires are mounted).

The point I was trying to make is that I would run OEM wheels before I would consider VMR's. OEM wheels are much higher quality and can be purchased used for a lower price than the VMR's. I just don't understand the point of making changes to stock that downgrade the car's performance.

Yeah... i think you're right... i think i'll just have to go with a lower profile for sure... from what i've seen online the DWS does mount a little wider

thanks again i just need someone to reenforce the obvious, but figured i'd give it a shot and see if someone was crazy enough to do it

and in my defense i said i was "too lazy" not "too busy"

last winter I got my wife a 4wd and during snow that is what we drive when ever it snows... even with the blizzaks the M can get a little shaky specially driving down hill.... the snow are a Remanence of when my e46 330/e46 M3/e93 M3 were my only means of transport...
Plus my wife is such a bad driver i think i am more worried about her driving the baby around i guess it is Volvo time
