Clearance issues when lowered
Ok folks, non-zcp, edc suspension. Im thinking of going with some H&R springs this winter. My fear is that if i go lower i could have a catastrophic incident. I feel like i will run over a busted piece of pavement and the whole transmissionwill be spinning in my rear view mirror. Ok, thats exaggerated, but seriously, have you guys had many issues besides the obvious front bumper scrapes or are the critical parts well protected? Thanks.

You just learn to drive "lowered". You watch out for pot holes or other areas that could be detrimental to your car depending on how low your car is. You learn to take angles or the long way if needed. I've been driving a lowered vehicle for about 16 yrs now and all these things help, but doesn't guarantee something won't happen (knocks on wood).

Plus OP the H&R lowering springs really don't lower the car that much to even worry about being low. What is it .5 in the back and 1.0 in the front? Still very high with no issues. I wouldn't stress over a spring drop at all. |

Thanks guys, ive had lowered cars in the past too and i had a Z4 3.0si couoe that sat low with no issues. Ive just never had something quite this expensive. I could see a DCT mishap costing more than some of my old cars were worth, haha.
