How do we go about signing about for the class? Do we first have to join the NABMW club (meant to do that after our get together in June)?

I am open to meet up next weekend, if anyone else wants to. Hopefully, it will be as nice as it was this weekend.
Yeah gotta join NABWM Club and then just sign up for the course.

Let me know of the rims/tires and I'll talk to Felix

Meet would be great but the weekend coming up might be wet

Someone on the local car forum (780tuners) is selling his 19" PS2s as well as his front and rear rotors and brake pads. I can post the link if anyone is interested. I believe they removed these items after the 2000KM break in period.

That's one thing I miss about the M, it was such a neutral car.

Um yeah.... still in practice mode. I need to attend a driving school for sure.

Sometimes I can nail it, other times, not so much. And then sometimes I just want to scare the shit out of the passenger I keep a box of Depends in the trunk.

The tires are taking a beating, can't wait to get some non-runflats on it.

Yeah if it runs RFT's you are not gonna miss them, my 335xi RFTs sucked the most ass ever, epic failure of tire performance, really kinda ruined the cars overall quality

Scoty, what color is the GTR? How much of a concern is the whole transmission issue? I have heard about it, but honestly haven't hit the GTR forums to see what is being said.

It's a pearl white.

The transmission thing is blown way out of proportion. From what I've read, anyone who's had issues has abused their cars and not followed the rules about driving with traction control completely off.

The other failures seem to have stemmed from having way too much power from upgrades, tuning etc.

I think that the GTR has taken a ton of customers from Porsche. They then tell themselves that they've saved 100K and dump it into mods. Then they replace & upgrade broken pieces as required.

Over at NAGTROC, members are dropping trannies & upgrading gears often.
As if cost were no object. As if it were a broken Tonka that needed new parts.

I think my biggest problem with the GTR is lack of support from Nissan for their owners when the vehicle is tracked. Granted I haven't been following this closely but any problems related to track use and Nissan won't touch it. Can you clarify this?

I would love to one day get a chance to test out a GTR. The Pearl White is just a fantastic color on the GTR. I know West Side Nissan has had s black one sitting in their showroom for awhile.

I have heard that too.

I haven't seen a thread in regards to that being an issue though. So, it seems to me that Nissan is more forgiving than what most people think or they just aren't having problems.

Hmm... It's getting really hard resisting the GTR temptation. I have a Targa 4S which is one of the softer of the 911s but I love the feel. I was tempted to go GT3 next but if it's C2S/C4S or GTR, that's a hard choice.

Anyone still interested in getting together this weekend?
I was thinking a similar location to last time, Starbucks on 23rd Ave and Rabbit Hill Road on Saturday or Sunday just after noon?

Sorry guys, it doesn't look like very many of us are available this weekend.

I'm just going to call it.
Saturday September 12th 1PM Starbucks 23rd Ave & Rabbit Hill Road.
If any M3 members are available, great. I'm going to see if I can round up some other BMW enthusiast from the local sites as well.

Well, I was thinking Sunday (tomorrow) but I thought it over and was thinking if we moved it till next Saturday (the 12th), we'll have a better turn out.

Burnouts infront of ScotyH's place sounds good! Let's just hope Harbuksh remembers to bring the memory cards for his camera this time. lol

Speaking of burnouts, I always get asked to do them with my GTR.

I CAN"T WTF is wrong with people.... I'm all wheel drive goddammit!

Anyhow, Saturdays are no good for me. Gotta pay for these fancy rides...

Move to a Sunday?
