"limit" warning light

Hello,

When driving at a brisk speed a warning light comes up stating "limit". Is there any reason for this warning other than I'm letting the M breath?

Thank you!

You can set a speed warning limit to sound at whatever speed you choose. Sounds like you exceeeded the limit that the alarm was set at. I have mine set at 100mph. You can deactivate it if you so desire.

just turn it off. i will sometimes set mine for an upper limit at the track for the front straight. lets me know when ive reached the speed i want to enter turn 1 in without having to watch for it on the gauges.

That's actually a really good idea!!

When I first saw the limit option I thought it was the speed over the speed limit for the road you're on since I'd heard some new Mercs do that, and initially I thought that'd be a convenient feature if the data was there for enough roads. It took me a while to figure out that it was just a set number -- which makes me wonder why the default number is 6 MPH....

Yes we make a car you can go really fast in but we warned you as you passed twice the speed limit...
