The button is lit, and Im not sure if it is still lit now. Never took the light switch assembly apart to check. I am def brave. Stupidity can be a benefit sometimes!!! I figured if it didnt work I could just re attach it. And if it killed the switch, I would order another one.

Good thing I didnt need my backup plans.

Hmm, so was it not the valve in the first place? Do you know how/why it is dead?

No, the valve was dead as well; I checked before I sent it off. I have no clue why the one lead would be dead. this is the only thing I haven't installed on my car and I fvcking hate it because I don't know how it was installed or any of the requisite parts that went into it so I don't know where to start looking for a problem.

Bypass Exhaust M3 E92

Hello I also would like to install a bypass on the exhaust of my E92 M3, but I can not find the electric valves and the piping.
I can buy this kit?
I live in Italy.
Thanks!

Im not sure why you decided to post this here.

I have no reason to support Race Ready, but I also have no reason to bash them. My kit has been perfectly functional for over a year now. I love it and its the best thing I did to my M3. I think about it every day as soon as I open them in the morning.

I agree that they do not have the best customer service, but I have had no problems with their valves, or their switch that I took apart and modified for my installation...

Sucks you had a bad experience with the Race Ready Kit. But Im not sure you should post in other peoples build threads about the products they used...

Why not? I want to warn others of my experiences.. Anyway if you look elsewhere in this thread you'll see much bashing has already been done. This is one of the great things about uncensored forums, freedom of speech.

I'm obviously pissed off and I want to protect others from feeling the same.

Yea, I understand your frustration, and you have every right to post what you want to. Its just out of respect that you make your own post about it, in the proper section of the forum and not bash the product I used for my build in my thread.

Its like you making post about your brand new awesome MB Quart speakers, and I come in telling everyone how much they suck and how no one should ever buy them.

Hope that helps put it into perspective...

Not a big deal dude, but also dont think its right.

Just throwing this in the mix. I have returned one of mine due to a faulty valve and Race Ready tried to screw me with a bogus charge, but I called them on it and they dropped it. One valve still isn't working, but it's due to a power supply problem, so I'm not sure if that's race ready's fault or if something has gone wrong since the install

I just put my JEGS valves on.. so far so good. They respond smoother than the Race Ready Performance ones, and look about as well, actually better, made. The main problem with the RRP cutouts is that their motor is not sealed and water gets in and corrodes the motor. I'd never taken that black cup off of the motor until recently and OMG the amount of corrosion in there was immense. They didnt even use a sealed motor?! WTF?

The JEGS is a sealed unit and the wiring is not exposed, a much better setup I think, and I guess time will tell. I was able to use all of my old wiring, including the race ready wireless remote module, which was good. I just cut the wires from my RRP doorstops and put on some blade connectors for the JEGS.. easy.

The only design improvement as far as I can tell the RRP cutouts have over the JEGS is the slotted install holes which make it easier to align them nicely.. just gives more flexibility. RRP also uses a nice waterproof connector, which is actually really humorous considering that their entire motor is exposed. Hey, at least it LOOKED good, right?

I think my only real complaint on the JEGS is the finish. Its a chromed look and it makes my valves look a bit more noticeable. Beyond that, I have nothing bad to say.. great price, JEGS support..

As far as the power source goes, what did you actually tap into? Is it switched 12V? I'm looking at doing this but I don't think the shop is going to install the switch so I'm just researching where you brought the leads up at etc. Checked out your site too, looks good!

Thanks!
