One more time: PV=nRT
Pressure * Volume = number of moles of gas * universal gas constant * temperature.

All gases abide by this law. There is no variation in the law for different gasses; be they nitrogen, oxygen, helium, air, etc.

If the volume stays constant and the temperature changes the pressure will change proportionally.

Stop reading promotional copy and listening to uneducated opinions and open a physics book.

But, on the other hand, if some dude from Fairbanks writes to a magazine and says the Gas Law does not apply to nitrogen then I suppose all those physicists could be wrong…

why has no one pointed out the fact that he is riding on ws60's which in my opinion are very squishy/ soft thus the ride change...

I'm not a chemist but I believe that nitrogen doesnt expand and contract as much based on heat like other gasses.

Everything on the topic I read stated pretty clearly that there is practically no deviation between nitrogen and common air as far as Volumetric Thermal Expansion.

The local nitrogen filling station is making a tempting offer. With each nitrogen fill they are giving away a free DVD rewinder. This may be hard to pass up...

Furthermore, tire temps will not get hot enough to cause any moisture in the tire to effect the pressure (it would need to approach boiling point) and that the amount of moisture in the air in the tire is insignificant.

If there is still some concern it would be money better spent to buy a dryer for your compressor rather than fill up with nitrogen.

I prefer pv = RT where v is the specific volume... just saying

the dealer charges like 100 bucks for it so i never did it but last winter my SA hooked me up for xmas and gave me the nitro fill for free and man i gotta say it is nice. never have to add air and can feel the diff for sure. i don't have the nitro in my winter tires now and i am going to get the nitro when i get new tires in a couple weeks
