Re-11s have squarer shoulder than pss so will run wider in a given size than them.

Exactly. I changed from ps2 (not pss) to re-11 in the same size and the tires were almost 1 inch wider. I got a couple of pics of it on my phone.

So I can say for a fact not all 265s are the same width.

Looking forward to some more highway runs.....in Mexico of course

I was going to take the car to a private 1/4 mile track event tomorrow but unfortunately it was cancelled.

Thanks Bud, not really, lol, I will need a proper Drag setup next time we go to the track. Do you know if Mo has scheduled another Famoso event? I may go to Sacramento, but I hear the traps are off by 2mph now?

So true but it's worse than 2mph. Sac screwed up their trap speeds bad!
I ran a 12.2 at 113 lol!
There's no way I trapped 113.
My VBOX read 117ish.

I don't know about Mo.
He said that the next date he's going for is sometime in January.
That would have been the perfect date.

What other info are you looking for? I was not able to run the car at the track due to a cancellation and it's been difficult to get traction in this cool weather on the RE11's, but times will come.

With regards to the fuel system, you basically have to throw out the stock system and start from scratch. I don't know all the specific details, ESS would have to chime in on that, but the drivability has not changed from stock or the VT625, idle's perfect, 14.7 AFR, and part throttle, etc. all spot on. This motor needs a lot of fuel with 10-11psi.

There are a lot of us after Mikes time but its the start of winter on the east coast and my car is done for a while. 10.6 is impressive from his 11.1 time. I ran 11.6 on streets and can't wait for proper tires, ESS DCT software and upgrade to vt2 625.

Drew...should beat all our times!

Throughout the entire thread, there are descriptions and pictures of the motor breakdown, what has been done internally, with the pistons, rods, bearings, what boost will be run and dyno results, etc. I've updated the front page as the info has become available.

This in no way discounts or lessons the accomplishment from VAC/VF, but most drag racing enthusiasts understand how huge conditions are and how they will affect the ET and trap speeds a great deal. The VF kit ran in -1300' DA in the winter time, I ran in +1300' DA in the summer time, quite a difference, and that will affect trap speeds a lot, either way even in great DA, and more power, 10.6 will be tough to best without a great 60' and full traction down the track, as VAC demonstrated with a proper standing burnout, fantastic 60', good tires and awesome DA, it's probably doable on all of the 600+ kits.

Unfortunately I've never have been able to warm the DR's up with FI or run in great DA, like I did when the car was NA and hit 11.8. Myself and others did not come properly prepared as VAC did, partly because we were not aware of the DCT software change to standing burnouts, took me a few trips to figure it out, lol, a line lock would have solved that issue. VAC did the 1/4 mile run the proper way at the proper time, major props to them.

Your non-intercooled, 5 psi, VT535 trapped 125MPH @ ATCO, your at roughly 480whp? Not a chance a VT535 would trap that high at another track or in the summer time, unless the DA was -1000+, MIR it certainly could this time of year. I'm sure you're aware that if you could get a VT625, get the drag setup that Mike has available at VAC and run this time of year, you could trap 132+, and with a good launch match their awesome times, it's not going to be easy though, 10.69 is just flat out fast.

Thanks Mike! Great talking to you the other day, I really appreciate what you guys have done for us with those results, it's fantastic for the FI M3 community. Hope to make a trip out to the east coast and get a chance to meet everyone one day.
