Ok.
It worked.
The switch was in the right side and in the left side it works ok.
Thanks for the help MDCTFTW.

i like how ur keys never has to leave your pocket.. unlock and lock, and you can close the windows wih the heat sensitive handle.. then you dont need to insert the key into the ignition

And a NEGATIVE!! when you leave the car the radio keeps playing until you lock it... it turns off eventually, but when the volume is off; im sure i have left it on a few times on in the garage..

Don't you have to put the key into the slot from time to time to recharge the battery in the key fob?

Yeah, from time to time.
But the battery last long time without the need to be recharged.
I usually charge it in long trips.

I didn't think you could re-charge the battery on confort access equipped cars?

The CA key battery is non-rechargable, when it runs out the car will warn you and you need to replace the battery, this has been argued to death many times, have a search and you'll see.

I locked my CA key in the boot yesterday, car beeped 3 times and opened the boot for me, brilliant !!!

Thumbs up Cool Sideview mirrors

I came across this feature while reading the manual. If you drive off with your sideview mirrors folded by accident, they automatically unfold at 20 MPH. You got to try it. I thought that was pretty cool.

I saw the ambient lighting along the doors in my wife's car (MB S550) last year and it looks really nice in the M3 at night.

Do a search for this, I'm too lazy right now: Someone is making an after-market thingy (I don't know maybe a box or some re-programming on the car) that folds the mirrors in when you lock your door and unfolds them when you unlock it.

I like the CA feature that opens the trunk for you if you leave the key in there.

Does anyone get the three beeps in a row for no apparent reason when you are driving. Mine happens at very random times and is not based on speed/revs etc. Just three consecutive beeps and then nothing. Nothing shows on nav screen or cpu.
Just jogged my memory when I saw someone said their car beeped at them when the CA key was left inside.

I am fairly certain what you are hearing is the "Hour Memo" which is under Settings, Date/Time, Time. It chimes three times about 10 seconds before the top of the hour. A standard BMW feature for years now, it is most useful in Europe and allows you a few seconds to tune in your favorite traffic update/news radio program

Not so random after all. I didn't know about this one. Good stuff.

Solution:

1) Press the start/stop/ignition button to stop the car after parking

2) Release foot from any/all pedals

3) Press the start/stop/ignition button again to turn off the radio/iDrive screen

Not sure if this was previously addressed, but after getting my car washed I forgot the key inside the car and tried locking it with CA and the car wouldn't lock! Great feature! Has anyone else had this happen?

Many times. And then I get all excited that the car didn't lock me out and I proceed to find the key somewhere in the interior.

Can't wait to try locking the car with the key in the trunk. I always wondered about that. It seems as if BMW thought of pretty much everything.

An iDrive feature for you guys: You can be at any screen and go to communication, climate, entertainment, or navigation just by pushing the knob in that arrow direction and holding it there. Pretty cool shortcut.

Just don't do it while you are not at home. I remember that someone on E90Post tried this after this feature was discovered, but he happened to be away from home. Well as you can guess, it did NOT work for him (I think he might not have had CA afterall, can't remember exactly). He had to call someone to bring the other key. I LOL'd at that one for a while.

Total of 4 beeps (when the option is turned on through iDrive): 3 short beeps and 1 medium beep on the hour every hour. The 3 short beeps are a countdown to the single medium beep which occurs on the hour.

The stupid-proof lock yourself out feature is amazing. I always dump my stuff in the boot and I've left the key in my bag once or twice. As soon as I close the trunk it beeps at me and opens back up. I thought it was a glitch or something at first....until I realized I didn't have my key.

And thank you sooo much for informing me about this sliding arm rest....I've always been annoyed with it being positioned too far back

This is definitely a RTFM one but I just found it and really like it.

The cruise control stalk acts in some way like the turn signal stalk. As most know a quick jab of the cruise stalk fore or aft will give you +1/-1 mph while under cruise. BUT push or pull it further back, past a resistance point and viola, you get +/-5 mph. Most of you E9X folks out there probably know this but I still thought it was worth posting.
