I bought my 09 Sedan for $500 over cost($71,670 MSRP,I paid $66160 at Vista. I have the Select Program(locked in 0.9 on Nov 2nd, the last day it was offered) My balloon is $23k and I put 0 down and my payment is $872 including GAP Insurance and the 5 yr Wheel/Tire Protection(the new program covers curb rash and anything cosmetic). I'm very happy with my deal! It will be here on Wednesday, just in time for Thanksgiving! Can't Wait!!!!!!

The Balloon will never come into play since I'll trade it in between year 4-5. I LOVE the Select program!

Did you have to roll the taxes, title and license into the loan or into the balloon?

Can someone PLEASE elaborate on this? Something's strange. If this case was me and I traded in an M3 before the balloon payment, I would owe maybe $23K on the balloon. Wouldn't the car be worth much more than $23K so I wouldn't have to worry about the balloon???

Do you own your small business? If you do, then you can write off the M3 lease as an auto expense, then it would make a lot more sense for the $11xx/month lease payment...since you're spending your pre-tax dollars.

After I return my Z4M this August, I'll be taking on a lease of a MY2011 M3 coupe, and since I own my restaurant, I can write off the lease expense.

M leases are so terrible right now (low residual/high buy rate), it really does not make sense unless you just have a lot of disposable income, or you can write it off.

You would still be losing the equivalent amount of equity. At that point you really are just paying off principal as the interest is front loaded. I am an F&I manager so I know. When dealing with a model like an M3, more often than not a standard 60 month loan should be fine. Any term over 60 months and you're just paying more interest as most rates increase at 61 months. A lease is good only if the residuals are good and the money factor(rent charge) is low. Select whatever or any balloon type setup is for suckers. You are paying A LOT of interest.
Hope this helps.

Select or whatever is for suckers even when the interest rates are 0.9%?
