E92 m3 steering feel

Hello guys I hope you are all doing well cheers! I wanted to know are the e92 m3s steering really tight with road feedback like the old 328i/335i/335is. I am a big fan of bmws hydraulic steering but I just want to make sure the steering in the m3 is very stiff like the old non m three series

Thank you so much

They (Idrive models at least, not sure about non Idrive) have 3 different modes... normal, sport and sport plus which is a heavy weighted feel. Personally I like the sport
plus. IMO the steering is one of the best things about the E9X M3.

I had a 2008 and 2011 335. Steering in those cars is close to my e92 M3.. Best to go drive one to see for yourself!

Its a great steering wheel and the effort and feedback are about as good as it gets for a sports sedan.

I had the exact same year 335i's and I remember them being highly boosted and light compared to the M3. I think the M3 steering is much better than the 335i. I think the M3 felt lighter at parking lot speeds, but at higher speeds the 335i felt really light.

I owned a 2008 335i and a 2004 M3. The steering on my e90 is sublime. I think it's as good as the e46 (maybe not as good as the e46 ZCP, which had the quicker rack), and definitely feels better than the 335, which was very good anyway.

I don't like any of the servotronic settings that make the wheel feel stiff and much harder to turn. I leave it in the normal setting, regardless of whether the M button is pressed. in the normal setting it's not artificially stiff, but still just as precise. It's perfect, IMO. But, the benefit of having the option of adjustable steering is that each driver can choose the setting you like. I like light (but precise) steering feel.

+1 I like the normal steering mode. The "sport" settings are artificially stiff. It makes it quite a bit more effort to counter steer when the car gets a little sideways.

Yes I will lol I definitely have to drive one myself to be able to tell whether I like it or not. Is the cpo warranty worth it? I was reading online and it does not cover many things. In general, do these cars hold up well?

Thank you

Tough call. I would bank the dollars and save for any future issues. Research M3 rod bearings.. And blackstone oil analysis
