C63 - Now available with even more power.

Mercedes has essentially done exactly what people wanted BMW to do: take the engine from your special low volume version of the car and offer it to the masses.

It's the C63 AMG edition 507:

And it packs an engine with near identical output to the C63 BS.

I saw this on autoblog this morning. When is the F80 M3 specs supposed to be released?

This thing is going to be a monster. I wish they would go to a dual clutch transmission or something, and the tire sizes are a joke for a car with this much power. 235 fronts 255 rears.

spot on mate. car needs two things

-DCT (have given up on thought of amg offering a 6mt or id be driving one)
-wide fenders / track from front applied to rear also

The wider fenders would allow for more tire, and a more balanced and aggressive look. The fact that only the front fenders are flared sucks IMO

Yes the C63 should have come with wider tires, but still, kudos to MB for releasing a special edition that actually means something. Not just some stupid color scheme + some badges/color trims and then charge a fortune. Like what BMW did.

BMW needs special editions that actually have increased performance. These special color/badge/sticker jobs are a joke.

the last specs say it will weigh about the same as an E46 m3 and will have 415hp and 395 lb-ft. this info is based on a VIN number check

More power isn't what the C63 needed But hey, I'd take it. 285 rears would be a minimum for this car and, although it can be done, it is tricky.
