Anyone have experience with Yokohama S.drive?
I am considering upgrading to 20" wheels and the Yokohama S.drive tires are the cheapest around. I'm wondering if they are decent.

i have them on my G35. They work great. Friend has it on his M5. He loves them. Great tire for the buck IMO.

I just bought them as well, looks like a good tire. Guy at Yokohama told me not to waist the money on Advan and get the S drive instead. New technology, excellent tire. Design is nice too.

You got the last LM's @ Tire Rack for the good deal didn't you??? I tried to buy them yesterday and I was told they were sold and now they are back to full price. I see in your for-sale post that you are getting LM's. I hate you. Just Kidding.

S.Drive is a nice tire, but not as high grip as the stock PS2. Good bang for the buck, but a step back in performance. If you are cruising, or doing a little bit of sporty driving, it is a great tire. For an M3 driven at 7/10ths or above, it is a little bit "underkill."

I've got them on my G35 as well, and love them. Super wet traction, good in dry, reasonably quiet, or at least not too loud. Obviously it's virtually impossible to compare the grip on these two cars, but they are way grippier than the Avons I was running last.

I put 1,000 miles on a set on my 2006 325i with sports package. They ride better than the original runflats, handle well in dry or rain and I'm very happy with them. I use my car as a daily commuter and for that kind of driving I absolutely recommend them. (I did buy a Conti kit in lieu of a spare).
