261mph, just enough to one-up the SSC's 257mph.

If I was loaded, I would buy one just to try it out.

I could care less about efficiency.

Clearly, my objective would be owning the fastest, most expensive, most exclusive and--to some--most luxurious car on the market.

What? No.

Are you jealous that you cannot afford it, or just that your ignorance preceeds you. I would pay you million dollars if you could produce a car like the veyron without scrimping on any of the amenities it offers.

The Veyron is its own niche, a utility supercar, and before you go all AWOL on me by utility I mean that you can drive it to the grocery store or to work without getting frustrated like in other supercars.

Weld two V6's together and you'd still be a few cylinders short BTW.

It doesn't matter about how the Veyron looks, costs, etc. What matters is that in this day and age this car is feat of engineering, and should be appreciated as such.

No car can do what the Veyron does as effortlessly as it does it. Sure, you can make a car go fast, but not with the same composure.

of course no one can realistically use that power, that isnt the point of the car. its built to go fast and it does that very well. accept it for what it is, not what you think it should be. to say the veyron is a piece of shit is ridiculous.

Engine aside, the car handles like shit (For a supercar costing almost 2 mil) and weighs as much as an SUV.

The losers with the typical response of "you're jealous" any time someone criticizes something that's seemingly out of their price range are braindead buffoons. I'm not jealous of shit. Just because I can't afford a Veyron doesn't mean I would ever get one even if I could. There are a shitload of better, more capable cars out there that would assuredly be cheaper and drive circles around the Veyron.

Enzo, Zonda, Carrera GT, Koenigsegg, etc.

These are all cars I would rather have than an overpriced VW with a humongous engine put into it.

Of course, unlike most who drool over the Veyron, I don't give a shit about showing off to others or what people think of me. Seems to me the majority of people who want the Veyron want it just so they can say they own it. I'd rather have something that's sportier and can run corners as well as it does straights, even if I don't get losers gawking at me.

says the person on the bmw forums w/ no bmw...

You still fail because it's not a piece of shit. My car is a piece of shit in comparison.

You also fail to see the point of the Veyron: It's a showcase of technology. Just point out one car that matches the Veyron's performance that isn't high strung. The car doesn't look good to me, I've seen 3 in person (including the Pur Sang) and they're meh at best. I still don't discount the fact that it can hit 200 without breaking a sweat.

Of course I'd take a Gemballa Mirage GT over it, but that doesn't make it a "piece of shit".

Very few cars (if any) bathe their drivers in such a luxurious cockpit while simultaneously offering the ability to break the sound barrier...over and over and over...it's over-engineered. Most cars would be pushed beyond their limits at the speeds it can reach.

7:40 - Bugatti Veyron 16.4

thats faster than a Z06, LP640, GT3RS, Zonda S, Gallardo Superleggera, etc, on what is arguably the worlds most difficult circuit.
