"Other Brand" Front lip and rear diffuser replica

Mine had a couple cosmetic issues as well:

1. One corner is chipped and the CF is peeling off the fiberglass backing.

2. There is some bubbling of the clear coat resulting from the resin and CF trying to breathe through it.

#1 is not a real issue for me since I'm painting that part of the lip

#2 is mitigated by having the body shop sanding it down and reclearing the entire lip after paint

I'm pretty excited about the painted lip look.

Did these issues occur during shipping or after you installed it? What specialty are you going into? I'm an anesthesiologist here in Vegas.

The chip is from shipping, but the separation is from manufacturing. I have not installed the lip yet. It's being prepped and painted at the body shop right now.

I'm also going into anesthesiology, most likely will do fellowships in cardiac and critical care. I'm trying to match into a combined residency / fellowship spot.

I got mine this afternoon, it arrived in just 2 days prior to ordering!!!Quality looks superb and fitment looks good can't wait to install it.

Good for you. I did a fellowship in cardiac myself in San Diego. My buddy did cardiac/cc at Wash U in St. Louis. Good luck with the match!

Thanks JL Motoring, my front lip and CF boot arrived yesterday!

A quick dry fitting of the front lip showed it fits beautifully and the CF boot lid appears great too.

Man! Lip and trunk goes all the way to Australia without any problems but from California to Vegas and it seems like UPS used my lip and trunk boxes like it was a soccer ball???

I feel for you! I was pretty nervous when opening up the packages, the boxes were pretty banged up....

Our panel beater is off sick at the moment but it is there awaiting work...The finish is pretty lumpy but should be fine if bogged up a bit, we will leave just the lip of the spoiler as CF. If you are planning on going full CF you will need a much better finish on the boot.

Got my trunk lid earlier this week. Waiting for my new front lip to arrive, since the last one was damaged during shipping. Got an appointment with my body shop on Tuesday for the install. Getting my 20" OZ Ultraleggera wheels with Pirelli PZero tires tomorrow (thanks to boostedtwin). Getting my H&R springs, AA SSK, and Evosport pulleys installed on Monday. Remus exhaust and SS X-pipe will go in this weekend. Car should be completely different come late next week. I'll post pics as soon as it's all done.

I agree, the finish on the trunk lid has some lumps and bumps in it. It's not the type of lid that you would leave unpainted. That's what you get for $600. I was never gonna leave it CF so it doesn't matter to me. I'm having my body shop sand it down, paint it (except for the lip), and clear coat it. Should hopefully take care of the bumps. Post pics when you've installed it.
