http://www.rei.com/product/639276/pa...e-wrench-dcw-2 These works pretty good too but you have to make sure to pull straight up and not twisting the coil or else you will break the coil. Good luck. |

BTW, do you just use your hands and pull straight up, or use some sort of lever with those tools to get the coil off? Cheers.

I only used the bike wrench for 1 or 5 (one of the outer most one) and it fitted perfectly and gave good leverage. I only used my hand cause I want to make sure I didn't twist or torque the tool which can break the coil top. It was more for testing my options cause I already made the pvc piece at the time. Just want to make sure I have another option in case the pvc didn't work or it breaks. But the pvc worked perfectly. I think there was another poster that pointed out the bike wrench work nicely.

I just ordered another set. That makes three different sets I've gotten from these guys--two for the M3 and one for a regular 3. |

Hoping to get jack pads, and wheel hangers up soon. Also waiting for the New M3/M4 as I may be working with someone to build an airbox and possible exhaust kit.

Just changed my plugs. Thanks to TXStig and this:
http://www.amazon.com/Division-DM-E9.../dp/B00J9P0TYE it made the job significantly easier. I did not need to remove the plenum. The back two holes can be a little tricky, but not too bad. Probably had about 1.5 hours total doing it. I also cleaned everything in the process. Car is running a good bit smoother now. |

I disagree. I still have the scar on my hand 6 months later from the wire coat hanger slipping off the coil pack and slicing my hand on the edge of the hood above. I would have gladly paid 40 bucks back then to save the time and blood pulling those coil packs. I was calling the back two coils some very bad names that I'm sure my neighbors heard.

I got all mine out with nothing but my own hands; and they were in there 5 years. Maybe some hand strengthening exercises???

I used an electrical cord and it was darn easy to pull out.
