P40 Black Gloss

Ok so I think I'm set on the P40's as I've been for months waiting for my car to arrive. My biggest issue was deciding on matte black or gloss as well as 19" or 20". I've decided to stick to 19" but in high gloss which only a few other users on this board have done as mostly everyone has the flat black option.

My question is what exact wheel spec should I get to push the wheel out to be flush with the fenders? Will I need spacers? Please keep in mind that I am getting Eibach springs so the car will be slightly lowered.

What color car are you getting?

For 19" wheels, I would go with the following sizes...

19" x 9" ET17 or 19" x 9.5" ET22
19" x 10.5" ET25

These sizes work great for a lowered E9x M3, without any rubbing, as long as you paired it with good tire sizes. I would suggest 255/30 (9") or 265/30 (9.5") & 295/30 or 305/30.

I have the following, and it works wonderfully with H&R springs...

19" x 9.5" ET22 w/ 275/30/19
19" x 10.5" ET25 w/ 305/30/19

When you order the P40s, HRE will spec the offsets and widths to sit flush with your fender and not rub on the car with the appropriate tire sizes. When we take the order, we ask whether you are looking to upgrade the brakes in the future as we can spec the wheels to clear a larger caliper.

I have seen HRE's though, that do not have E9x M3 specific offsets. For instance, there is a set of them for sale right now in the for sale section, that in my opinion would need spacers to look perfect. Will they let you specify the offsets?

Andy,

If the wheels were not originally built for an M3, then they would not have M3 offsets. You can specify the offsets with HRE although I recommend you go with their suggestion based on your application as they are experts in building these wheels correctly.
