Does anybody have any information when the new performance steering wheel will be available?

The re-design has been around since April. I'm fairly certain that some forum members have the new wheel installed.

first time ive seem that. I think i prefer the good old flat bottom one with no lights though still

Yeah, I just did some digging, and I guess my memory is failing me. I could've sworn that there was a video floating around...

As of a few weeks ago, Nate@IND said they're still not available.

Called BMW again today and still no ETA

Spoke to a friend of mine who works in the Part Department at a local BMW dealership. He says it will be available in January 2011.

Any way of getting this with the tri color stitching as on the stock wheel without having it re done? Was the biggest hold back from me getting the first version. That and then I saw the new version

No tri-stitching will be available
I've been on this since the catalog release in Sept.
BMW AG has a part number, but its not in production yet - so the part number might change
was told March 2011
Hopefully the Jan 2011 is correct.

^^ Bummer about the tri-stitch. Almost looked like you could see the blue in the pic.
