Can anyone who owns this talk about any drone while cruising around 2,000 - 3,000 RPM?

So you'll spend $2,700 on something based on ONE person's assessment? Not very bright. One person's "no drone at all" will be another person's "droned so loud it gave me a headach."

AND, if you look at the vids, the car is always accelerating to some degree too.

2 people say there's no drone. I'll see the car tomorrow and find out myself. I'm pretty picky when it comes to drone.

Did you weigh it? I'd love to see how it compares to stock. The Akro Ti exhausts saves what ... 40 lbs over stock? This is a good bit of weight savings. It would be great if the Vanguard exhaust saves the same amount as the Akro is much more $$$.

AFAIK, the vanguard system is cat-back only. Looks good though...

Yeah but how about a 2k cruise instead of a 3k cruise. Drone is all gone by 3k.

I think all exhaust will have some drone at 2,000 RPM's. There seems to be a natural drone there. It's usually gone by 2,500RPM. The only issue is the DCT likes to keep the revs around 2,200.

I got mine installed yesterday and have been driving for around 200kms now. I gotta say that the noise level is just perfect and I don't think there is drone at all. I used to own a 02 mazda protege 5 and I had a mazdaspeed catback exhaust installed. I couldn't stand that and ended selling it 2 weeks after getting it. This Vanguard Ti exhaust to me is just perfect. It gives the sound of how a performance v8 engine should sound like. I am very impressive with this purchase.

I've been in the car a couple more times since my last post and I will have to say to me it sounds perfect. I am the type that wants a very subtle sounding exhaust that does not attract a lot of attention. If you feel the same way, this is the exhaust for you. It is very livable and not intrusive at all IMO.

Yup, pretty much my review on it. A friend of mine was following me in his Caymen and said the back of the exhaust looked badass when his headlights hit it.
