Scion Brz. 11.3 @ 127 w. Turbo Kit

Hopefully this isn't a repost. But when i saw this video i literally said " WHAT?! " i just didn't know they were putting down this power with aftermarket kits yet. Tuners waisted no time..

Nail in the coffin. I think this is going to convince me to go buy one and tell myself "I just bought a fun economical DD"... and then dump a mess of bolt-ons on it and blow the motor. Fckin hell.

That......is impressive. I can't wait to see how this platform develops over time, both in the aftermarket as well as future showroom models. Now if they will only bring back the Supra......sigh

I was wondering what kind of power it puts down, too, so I found the turbo kit.. costs 6 grand, which is about the same as the Vishnu single turbo kit for our cars.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9942

Interestingly, it says up to 350 HP with supporting mods. I forget how much the car weighs, but a low 11 with 350 hp is pretty impressive. For sure I thought they at least had meth or something else going on in there. Nope, just a turbo, up/down pipes, IC, and intake. Kewl.

They are also making 35-38WHP with the addition of E85 and a tune and zero supporting mods... that is insane!!! ~230-240HP with just a flash and corn fuel. That's AP2 S2000 power.

You could buy a new one of these, turbo it, and still be in a faster better place ( performance wise ) vs a e92 single turbo. Cheaper too. Granted you loose the BMW badge but it looks like alot of newer car engines are being made boost friendly.

I was not even a fan of this car and thought it was useless until i saw this video..

Can you imagine once they tap into meth and better E85 maps?

Interesting. I can't understand why there is no factory turbocharged option. Subaru & Toyota have a very good history with turbos.

Why not let the tuner community see where the weakness is in terms of the engine and then roll out a strong turbo option.

That is really impressive! I definitely like the styling of those cars, but I wish it came turbocharged from the factory.

Yea it's rediculous. Imagine what the platform will have with some more time in tuners hands..

I bet you they don't. Subaru has already said that turbos will be reserved for the WRX line. The STI version of the BRZ will be NA as well.

A motor that's built for turbo vs one that isn't? Not sure your point.
